Mrs. Clarence Housker, 64, died Tuesday morning at Winneshiek County Memorial hospital in Decorah where she had been taken Monday evening, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

The former Vivian Aasum, she was born near Mabel, August 30,1916, the daughter of James and Esther (Nelson) Aasum. She attended the Hesper public school and was confirmed at the Hesper Lutheran church. On Sept. 14, 1957, she married Clarence Housker at Spring Grove. She was a member of the Riceford Lutheran church and its ALCW.

Survivors are her husband; one brother, Odell Aasum, Spring Grove; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Darlene) Baker, Mabel. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Our Saviors's Lutheran Church in Riceford. The Rev. Kurt Friederich officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation at the Mengis Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday and at the church between one and two day of services. From the Welch collection.
