Funeral service were held Monday at the Cross of Christ church in Houston for Mrs. Darrell Barth, 50, who died Thursday, Sept. 20, at a nursing home in La Crescent. The Rev. Gerald Monge officiated. Burial was in the Stone church cemetery.

The former Shirley Larson, she was born May 29, at Spring Grove, the daughter of Gilmer and Stella (Myhre) Larson. On Aug. 14, 1948, she married Darrell Barth.

She worked in Spring Grove for several years as an inspector of control Data. Prior to her illness she was employed as a nurses aid at Valley View Nursing Home, Houston.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Steven, Hugo, Minn., Dennis, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Debra Otterness, Houston; three grandsons; her mother two brothers, Maurice, Menomonee Fall, Wis., Donald, Rochester, Minn. two sisters, Mrs. Opal Ostern, and Mrs. Alfred (Lorraine) Hagen, both of Spring Grove.

Her father and a grandson preceded her in death.
