Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hesper Lutheran church for Conrad Vick, 82, who died Sunday evening at Lutheran hospital in La Crosse. The Rev. Paul Tweeten officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was born May 15, 1897 in Calmar Township, Winneshiek County, Ia., the son of Eric and Henrietta (Hegtvedt) Vick. He attended rural schools in Winnesheik County. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Joseph B. Lund Post 299 of the American Legion, Mabel, the World War 1 Barracks 1266 of Decorah, and a member of the Hesper Lutheran church.

He married Grace Roney June 1,1933. They spent their married life in Decorah and Hesper. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors are his wife; two sons; Duane, Charles City, Ia., Gary, Mabel; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Charilyn) Hover, Decorah, Ia.; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Allard and Alvin, Decorah, Harry, Mason City, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Boethm, Decorah, Miss Carolla Vick, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Irene Gilday, Charles City, Ia.

He was preceded in death by one brother and on sister.

The Mengis Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
