Mrs. Knute Sanden Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2p.m. at the Hesper Lutheran church for Mrs. Knute Sanden, 79, who died Friday morning at Lutheran hospital in La Crosse. The Rev. Bernhardt Polesky officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The former Nora Nelson, she was born Oct. 23, 1899 in Highland Township, Winneshiek county, Ia., the daughter of Nels and Flora (Darrington) Nelson. She attended the Grindeland rural school

She married Knute Sanden Sept. 26, 1919 at Decorah, Ia. They spent all their married life at Hesper. She was a member of the Hesper Lutheran church and its ALCW. From the Welch collection
