Obituary for Fannie Iverson from the Welch collection

Mrs. Fannie Iverson, 90, of Mabel, a longtime area farm homemaker, died Wednesday at Greenlea Manor Nursing Home in Mabel. The former Fannie Welch was born may 22, 1896, Hesper Township, Winneshiek County, Iowa. She attended Hesper and Mabel schools, then married Lawrence Iverson on March 8, 1916. The couple farmed their entire married lives. After Mr. Iverson's death on March 14, 1979, she moved into Mabel.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frances Inglett and Mrs. Wayne (Lorraine) Harkness, both of Mabel; six grandchilden; 11 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild. Three brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at Hesper Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jay Camrath officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call
after 2 p.m. Sunday at Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel and one hour before
the service at the church Monday.
