R.P. Robinson, 65, postmaster at Hesper, died suddenly at his home there Tuesday afternoon.
Military rites will be conducted by Joseph B. Lund post of the American Legion at a graveside service at the Hesper public cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Robinson was born at Hesper Aug. 21, 1891. He attended the Hesper public school and Penn College at Oskaloosa, Ia.
At the time of his death he was operating a grocery store at Hesper. He had been postmaster there since 1932.
Survivors are his wife, the former Sidney Barnhart of Oskaloosa; four daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Marian) Homrighouse, Minneapolis, Mrs. Marland (Betty) Schmidt, Forest Lake, Minn., Mrs. Warren (Jean) Foltz and Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Austin of Mabel, and 10 grandchildren.
