Funeral services will be held at the Hesper Friends Church at 2 p.m. Saturday for Willie J. Welch, 68, who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Hesper Tuesday afternoon. Miss Naomi Olsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Hesper public Cemetery.

Mr. Welch was born on a farm near Hesper, Jan. 14, 1886, the son of William R. and Anna Darrington Welch. He attended the Hesper Public School. In the year 1907, he married Inga Anderson. To this union were born two children, Mrs. Harold (Idella) Molstad now of Canton, SD, and Willard of Mabel. He followed the occupation of farming until a few years ago, when he moved to Hesper. On Nov. 21, 1944, he married Gladys Nugard of Mabel, who survives him with his two children; five grandchildren; a brother, Frank of Mabel; and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Iverson of Mabel.
