Here is the Obituary for Donald Welch: Mabel---- Donald Welch, 59, of Mabel, died Monday. He was born July 16, 1928, near Mabel. Mr. Welch attended the Mabel school and worked as a laborer in the area most of his life. He was married and later divorced. Survivors include a son, Todd of Decorah; a daughter, Candice (Mrs. Jeffery) Ode of Decorah; and two
grandchilden. Two sons, his parents and two sisters preceded him in death. The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel, with the Rev. Donald Peterson of Hesper Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Hesper Lutheran cemetery. From the Welch collection.
