Cliford Darrington Obit. 29 May,1963 from the Welch collection

Funeral services were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday at the Hesper Friends church for Clifford Darrington, 61, who died May 29, at Lutheran hospital in La Crosse, WI.

Pastor Stuart officiated. Burial was in the Hesper Public Cemetery.

Mr. Darrington was born on a farm in Hesper township, Winneshiek county, Ia., the son of Walter and Lena Darrington. He attended the Hesper Public School and lived all his life in the community. He never married.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Lena Darrington of Mabel; one sister, Mrs. Walter (Wilma) Barth of Mabel; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father. The Mengis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
