The Winneshiek Co. connection isn't apparent in this obituary, but because it appeared in a Decorah paper, there most certainly is a connection. If anyone can provide Paul Judson's tie to Winneshiek Co., please contact wwaters13@comcast.net so the information can be added to this obit.

Paul Judson

Paul Judson, 81, of Stockton, Calif., died Saturday, July 8, 2000.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 11, at 2 p.m., in the First Congregational Church in Stockton, with the Rev. Dennis Johnson and the San Joaquin Lodge officiating.

Private committal was at the Parkview Cemetery. The Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home handled arrangements.

In addition to being a member of the First Congregational Church, Paul belonged to the San Joacquin Lodge No. 19 F&AM, Stockton Scottish Rite Bodies, Ben Ali Temple Tokay Shrine Club, High 12 Club, SIRS No. 46 and Stockton Navy League.

A native of Seattle, Wash., Paul was a veteran of World War II. He had been an insurance agent and had lived in the Stockton area for 60 years.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Harriet Judson of Stockton, Calif.; his daughter, the Rev. Sue Hamly of Minnesota; grandchildren Bruce Hamly and Courtney Hamly and sisters Barbara Worth of Greenbrae, Calif., and Pat Judson of Patricia, Calif.
