Edna Cutler

Edna (Youmans) Cutler, 94, of Kerby Ore., and formerly of the DECORAH area, died Sunday, April 15, 2001 at the Royale Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass, Ore.

She was cremated, and wished for her ashes to be spread over Tennessee Mountain in outside of Kerby.

Edna Youmans was born Oct. 26, 1906 to Edwin and Vila Youmans near FRANKVILLE.

She married Abe Cutler in the West, and they lived in Idaho for many years before moving to Oregon.

Edna Cutler worked as a school teacher, and also was a well-known artist.

She loved wildlife and the mountains, and enjoyed horses as well. She liked living a simple life.

Survivors include a sister, Ardath Holland of Downers Grove, Illinois; two brothers, Arthur Youmans of Houston, Texas and Wesley Youmans of Mount Pleasant; nine nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Edna Youmans Cutler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters Hazel "Tommy" McPherson and Helen Bryant and brothers Maurice "Bud" Youmans, Sam Youmans and Lynn "Ole" Youmans.
