Glen Jerviss

Editor's Note: The following obituary was recently received by Decorah Newspapers.

Glen Jerviss, 90, of Aitkin, Minn., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001 at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin with Father Patrick Coyle officiating.

Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery in Aitkin.

Glen Myron Jerviss was born March 13, 1910 in DECORAH, the son of Elder Myron and Ella (Shervin) Jerviss.

He attended school in DECORAH, and then worked for the M.A. Hanna Co. as a heavy equipment operator.

He married Katherine Elizabeth Koscielak on August 24, 1931 in Duluth, Minn.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters: Katherine Grigware, Geraldine Tarr and Helen Kessler; 13 grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Glen Myron Jerviss was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Perpichia**, sister, Florena Ward; and two brothers, James and Lawrence Jerviss.

**This name may not be spelled right. The last three or four letters of my copy were so blurred I could not make out the letters, even with a magnifying glass.
