LaVaughn Sullivan

LaVaughn Sullivan, 79, of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 1, 2001 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo of heart failure.

There was no visitation, as the body was cremated.

Private family services were held, and burial was at Mt. Olivet.

Locke Funeral Home of Waterloo handled arrangements.

LaVaughn M. Sullivan was born Nov. 19, 1921 in Decorah to Claude and Ruth (Kelly) Taylor.

She graduated from Decorah High School, and married Laverne Sullivan Nov. 17, 1942. He died in 1978.

LaVaughn Sullivan was a homemaker for the majority of her life, and was a member of St. Johns Catholic church.

Survivors include a daughter, Michele Sullivan of Waterloo; two sons, Taylor Sullivan of Vancouver, Wash., and Charles Sullivan of Waterloo; a brother, Wallace Taylor of Waterloo, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

LaVaughn M. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Leo; three brothers, Claude, Leo and Taylor; an infant brother, Francis and one sister, Sarah.

Private services were held for LaVaughn M. Sullivan. Inurnment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

LaVaughn M. Sullivan was born November 19, 1921 in Decorah, the daughter of Claude and Ruth (Kelly) Taylor. She graduated from Decorah High School.
On November 17, 1942 she married Laveme Sullivan. He died in 1978.
She was a member of the St. Johns Catholic Church. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life.
Survivors include one daugther: Michele Sullivan of Waterloo; two sons: Taylor of Vancouver, WA and Charles of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother; Wallace of Waterloo.
