Jeanne Wagner

Jeanne E. Wagner, 82, of Dallas Center, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000 at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home of congestive heart failure.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 at First Presbyterian Church in Dallas Center, with cremation to follow.

Jeanne Wagner was born and raised in Bradford, Yorkshire, England. She lived in Des Moines from 1946-51, and lived in Bermuda for two years. She resided in Dallas Center for 49 years.

She married William Wagner on Sept. 1, 1944, in Oskaloosa, lowa. She was employed with the Waukee Community School District as high school librarian until her retirement.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dallas Center, and she enjoyed staying in touch and helping her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, William Wagner of Dallas Center; two daughters, Elizabeth Hoffman of Sheboygan, Wis., and Susan Shaw of CALMAR; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Jeanne Wagner was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ade (Simpson) Wilkinson; her daughter, Deborah Ann Williams; one grandson, Ted Shaw; and her sister, Joan Larway.
