Christine Nelson

Christine A. (Allen) Nelson, 78, died Nov. 23, 1999, in Maryland.
Burial arrangements in DECORAH were private.
She was the wife of the late Judge Benjamin Nelson of the Circuit Court of Chicago. She was a registered professional nurse, a Michael Reese School of Nursing graduate and a veteran of World War II.
Christine served in several stateside hospitals and in Evacuation Hospital Units in France, Belgium and Germany.
Her duties overseas included nursing P.O.W.s and victims of the Holocaust.
After the war, she was a private duty nurse and lived in Chicago most of her adult life. In 1997, after the death of her husband, she moved to Rockville, Md., to be closer to her son.
Survivors of Christine Nelson include her son, Andrew N. Nelson of Rockville, Md.; her brother, Leonard and Ethel Allen of Seattle, Wash.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
