Richard Arthur Headington
Richard Headington, 62, of Windsor, Wisc., died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at HospiceCare Inc., in Fitchburg, Wisc.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, in DeForest, Wisc., with Rev. Jerry Olson and Rev. Charles Peterson officiating.
Burial was held Saturday, April 14 at Neshonoe Cemetery in West Salem, Wisc.
Richard Arthur Headington was born Feb. 4, 1939 to Dr. Arthur James and lone (Farber) Headington in DECORAH.
He attended Luther College, in DECORAH, and received his master's degree in education from the University of Northern Iowa.
He married Mary Lou Hulberg July 25, 1964 in West Salem, Wisc.
After living in Iowa for four years, they moved to Platteville, Wisc.
In June 1987, the couple moved to the DeForest-Windor area.
For many years Richard Headington coached wrestling and golf, and most recently coached golf at Waunakee High School.
He served on the board and was chapter president of the Badgerland Safari Club. His hobbies were hunting with his two sons and playing golf.
Survivors include two sons, Michael and Mary Headington of Sun Prairie, Wisc., and Eric Headington of Windsor; a sister, Shirley Headington of Decorah and other relatives and friends.
Richard Arthur Headington was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Headington, in 1999 and his parents.
