Marvin J. Henry
Marvin J. "Bugs" Henry, 53, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of DECORAH and Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, in his home following a sudden illness.
Graveside services with military rights were held Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. The Rev. William Harnish officiated.
Military honors were provided by Hanford American Legion Post No. 5.
Marvin J. "Bugs" Henry was born March 10, 1947 in DECORAH to Thomas and Mescal (Smaker) Henry.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, and taught English and science at the Roosevelt Elementary School in Harlingen, Texas.
Survivors include three brothers, Ronald Henry and wife Annette; Gregory Henry and Steven Henry and wife Judy, all of Cedar Rapids, several nieces and nephews.
Marvin Henry was preceded in death by his parents.
