Adolph Larson
Adolph O. Larson, 88, formerly of Mabel, Minn., died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at the Ramsey Nursing Home in Maplewood, Minn.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m., at the Mabel United Methodist Church in Mabel, Minn., with the Rev. David Laechel officiating.
Burial was at the Mabel Public Cemetery. The Mengis Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Adolph was born Oct. 4, 1911, in Preston, Minn., the son of Lars H. and Bertha (Hanson) Larson. He lived and farmed in the Mabel area for most of his life.
On Feb. 23, 1935, he married Dorothy Stroud. Adolph was active in the Mabel United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau, 4-H, and the Mabel Feed Association. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, as well as fishing with his brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Maplewood, Minn.; one daughter, Joanne and Glenn Ickler of Hopedale, Mass.; two sons, Richard and Linda Larson of Monterey, Calif., and David and Delores Larson of Roseville, Minn.; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Leonard and June Larson of Mabel, Minn.; one sister, Irene and Claude Anderson of Mabel, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Jeanette O'Hara of DECORAH; and several nieces and nephews.
Adolph Larson was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Grace; and two brothers, Henry and Selmer.
