Mildred Kapinos

Mildred Kapinos, 93, formerly of Calmar, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Crystal Care Center in Robbinsdale, Minn., following a lengthy illness.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 17, at 1:30 p.m., at the Calmar City Cemetery with the Rev. Byron Perrine of Calmar Community Methodist Church officiating.

The French Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mildred was born Sept. 30, 1906, in Spillville, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Chezik) Kapinos. She attended school in Spillville and Calmar.

A longtime Minneapolis resident, Mildred retired from Munsingwear in 1972, after a 40-year career.

She lived at Copperfield Assisted Living in Robbinsdale before entering the care facility

Survivors include her nephew, Vernon and Linda Stenseth of Bloomington, Minn.

Mildred Kapinos was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mabel Giesen and her husband William (Bill), Gertrude Lauck and Otila Satterloff.
