Ardis Steen

Ardis Steen, 70, of Blaine, Minn., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001 after a short illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring Lake Park, Minn., with Gearhart Funeral Chapel of Coon Rapids, Minn., handling arrangements.

Ardis Jeanette (Timm) Steen was born June 4, 1930 to Martha and Arthur Timm of Shawano, Wisc.

She met Lester Steen, of DECORAH, in 1949, at North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minn. They were married in 1952 at First Assembly of God Church in Shawano, Wisc.

Steen served as church pianist and organist throughout most of her life, and worked as a professional artist.

The pain of her loss is erased in knowing that she is free from physical pain, and in the presence of Jesus.

Surviving Ardis Steen are her husband, Lester Steen; two sons, Bob and Jo Steen of Green Bay, Wisc. and Bill and Marsha Steen of Big Lake, Minn.; one daughter, Barb and Steve Ronnenberg of Ham Lake, Minn.; seven grandchildren: Rob and Kelli Chelberg, Carla and Brian Schultz, Aaron and Carrie Chelberg, Aaron Steen, Ryan Steen, Adam Steen, and Nick Steen; and four greatgrandchildren: Sadee Steen, Rebecca Schultz, Logan Chelberg, and Rachel Schultz.

Additional survivors include three brothers, Warren Timm, Ron and Carmen Timm and Dennis and Cheryl Timm.
