A. Vivian Landsom, 81, of Spring Grove, Minn., died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at her home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 16, at 11 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, with the Rev. Zane Anderson officiating.
Visitation will be held at church one hour before services Tuesday. The Roble Funeral home in Spring Grove is handling arrangements.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A. Vivian (Onsager) Landsom was born Jan. 19, 1918, in Waukon, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Johnson) Onsager. She was a 1935 graduate of Decorah High School.
She later graduated from Normal Training in Decorah. She taught for 14 years in the Decorah and Waukon areas.
On Sept. 23, 1951, she was married to Julian Landsom at Decorah Lutheran Church.
Vivian had lived in the Decorah area until her marriage, when she moved to rural Spring Grove, in Spring Grove Township, until retiring in 1978, when she moved into the town.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and its women's groups, where she was quite active. Vivian also worked as a volunteer at Tweeten/Lutheran Health Care Center in Spring Grove.
Survivors include her husband, Julian Landsom of Spring Grove, Minn.; two sons, Justin and Joyce Landsom of Spring Grove and Dr. David (Andre) Landsom of Quincy, IL.; and four grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jenna Landsom of Spring Grove, and Paul and Julian Landsom of Quincy, IL.
A. Vivian Landsom was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Loven, Harriet Ruen and Ruth Onsager; and one daughter, Barbara in infancy.
