Caren Engan
Caren Lynn Engan, 28, of Waukon, died April 2, 1999, in Holden, Mo. in an automobile accident.
She was born Feb. 22, 1971, in Tucson, Ariz., to James and Shirley (Favors) Clayton.
She married Danny C. Engan on March 22, 1990, in Washington state. She had also lived in California and Arizona, and has been a resident of the Waukon area for the past year. She had worked as a certified nursing assistant in the area.
She is survived by her husband, Danny, of Waukon; two sons, Tila and Daniel, both at home; two daughters, Jamie and Chrystal, also at home; four brothers, James Clayton, Jr. and family of Missouri; Bobbi Clayton of Holden, Mo.; Ron Clayton and family of Burlington, Wash.; and Robert Clayton and family of Redding, Calif.; three sisters, Carol Camarena and family of Oak Harbor, Wash.; Donna Haggard and family of Holden, Mo.; and Mary Hodges and family of Yuba, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Roble Funeral Chapel in Spring Grove, Minn. Burial was at Big Canoe Lutheran Cemetery in rural Decorah.
Pastor David H. Andrea officiated.
