Marian Moen

Marian Moen, 79, of Spring Grove, Minn., died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Friends may call Friday, March 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.

Burial will be in Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery in rural Decorah.

Marian Helma Moen was born Nov. 8, 1921 in Locust, Iowa to Walter and Judith (Narveson) Ruffridge.

She attended rural school at the Spring Water School in Winneshiek County.

She married Arthur N. Moen. Arthur died in 1974.

Prior to moving to Spring Grove in 1977, Marian Moen lived in Decorah, where she had worked at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital, the Winneshiek County Nursing Home and Barges Cafe.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, and had been a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah.

She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Spring Grove.

Survivors include daughters, Jeanette Bohr of Lansing and Ruth Ann Haugen of Dubuque; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and special friend Arnold "Charley" Munkel of Spring Grove.

Marian Helma Moen was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Ernie and Ronald; and one infant son.
