Services for Minnie Mundt were held Oct. 31, at the Zion Lutheran Church at Castalia, with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Castalia.

She died Oct. 28 at the Good Samaritan Center, Postville. Rev. H. W. Wolfgram conducted the services. Marlys Hager was the organist. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

Casket bearers were Todd Mundt, Kendall Ney, Kraig Ney, Terry Gossling, Roger Jenkins, Duane Brandt and Dale Dull.

Wilhelmine "Minnie" Mundt was born Oct. 29, 1884 near Luana to William and Rosine (Oldefenet) Meyer. She was baptized at Postville and confirmed at Eldorado. She attended the rural schools near her home, including the Moneek School.

She was married Nov. 13, 1902 to Charles Mundt at Eldorado by the Rev. G. Blessine. They farmed in the Castalia area all of their life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, who died Oct. 28, 1937, an infant son, a daughter, Verla Mundt, a great-grandson, Ronnie Dull and twin great-granddaughters, a great-great grandson, David Dull, 2 brothers, Louis and William Meyer, 2 sisters in infancy and 4 sisters, Millie Weidow, Emma Breitsprecher, Rose and Lena Mundt.

Surviving is a daughter, Esther Schroeder of Postville, 3 grandchildren, Gary Mundt of Castalia, Karen Ney of Ossian and Gwen Thompson of Sidney, OH; 10 great-grandchildren, Debra Brandt, Dale Dull, Deonn Jenkins, Karla Gossling, Konnie, Kendall, Kraig and Kendra Ney; Tami and Todd Mundt and six great-great-grandchildren.
