ARTHUR KRIVACHEK, 71, of Fort Atkinson died at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., Saturday, March 27, 1999, after a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30, at 11 a.m., at St. John's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, with burial in the church cemetery. The Chekal Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Survivors include four sons, Larry of Waukon, Steven of West Union, Michael of Valdosta, Ga., and Gary of Fort Atkinson; two daughters, Janice Timmerman of Glendale, Ariz., and Jeanne Schick of Rushford, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four sisters, Beatrice Tinderholt, Margaret Elsbernd and Alice Phillips, all of Fort Atkinson, and Corina Scholbrock of Hazel Green, Wis.

Arthur William Krivachek

Arthur William Krivachek, 71, of Fort Atkinson died at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., after a heart attack, Saturday, March 27, 1999.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 30, at 11 a.m., at St. John's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, with the Rev. Allen Schmitt celebrating the mass. The Rev. Msgr. Donald Heineman was the concelebrant.

Rita Schmitt was the organist. The St. John's adult choir provided special music.

Casket bearers were Kevin Phillips, Kevin Kuhn, Melvin Elsbernd, Robert Glass, Roger Scholbrock and Allen Phillips.

Burial was at the church cemetery. The Chekal Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Arthur was born July 30, 1927, in Fort Atkinson, the son of William and Otilla (Martinek) Krivachek. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School.

He served in the United States Navy from 1945-48. On June 12, 1956, he was united in marriage with Christine Phillips in Spillville.

Arthur lived in Fort Atkinson all his life. He was employed by Winneshiek County, Myer Brothers Construction, Holland Brothers Construction and Wiltgen Construction as a mechanic/welder.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
