Vaclav "Jim" Shindelar

Vaclav "Jim" Shindelar, 78, of Charles City, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at Riverside Chautauqua Guest House in Charles City of natural causes.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City, with burial at 2 p.m., at St. John's Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.

The Mauser Funeral Home of Charles City handled arrangements.

Jim farmed and was employed by the Oliver and White Farm Equipment Corp. for 19 years.

Survivors include three sons, Charley and Edward, both of Charles City, and Edgar of Elgin, IL.; a daughter, Charlene Ahem of Bartlett, IL.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Vsetecka of Protivin; and two brothers, John of Spillville and Alois of Fort Atkinson.

Vaclav "Jim" Shindelar was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, in 1970; and two sisters, Anna Wagner and Agnes Frana.
