Roger Milton Osmundson

Roger Milton Osmundson, 53, of Iowa City and formerly of West Union, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 15, at 10:30 a.m., at Victory Christian Church in West Union, with the Rev. Roland Waterman officiating.

Casket bearers were Gaylord Osmundson, Roger Chensvold, Donald Eberhart, Alan Osmundson, Kenneth Steege and David Wiedow.

Interment was at the Stavanger Lutheran Cemetery of rural Ossian. Arrangements were handled by the Burnham-Wood Funeral Home of West Union.

Roger Milton Osmundson was born July 12, 1947, in West Union, the son of Russell and Mabel (Barness) Osmundson. He graduated from North Fayette High School in 1965 and served in the United States Army.

Roger lived in the West Union area all his life until about four years ago when he moved to Iowa City. He enjoyed buying and selling antiques and previously owned merchandise. He also enjoyed visiting and traveling. He never met a stranger.

Survivors include two brothers, Leland and Linda Osmundson of Alburnett, and Eugene Osmuadson of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Carol and Willard Dause of Gallup, N.M.; and nieces and nephews.

Roger Osmundson was preceded in death by his parents.
