Ruth E. Dohm

Ruth Dohm, 73, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at her home.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Madison, with Rev. Mark Kufahl officiating.

Burial was in Lutheran South Cemetery in Stoughton, and Gunderson West Funeral Home of Middleton, Wisc., handled arrangements.

Ruth E. Dohm was born April 25, 1927 in Decorah, the daughter of William and Stena (Vick) Gjetley.

She went to Madison, Wisc., to earn her accounting degree and was employed with various businesses until deciding to change her profession. Ruth then joined Oakwood Village, working in the food service department,
and after sharpening her skills, worked with Central Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled until her retirement .

She was a caring and devoted mother and a good provider for her family.

Ruth Dohm was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Madison.

She enjoyed the outdoors, taking care of her flower garden and walking, but cherished time with her family most of all.

Survivors include her children, Wendell and Shelley Meise of Stoughton and Jerry Meise of Madison; her grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Naley of Decorah and Lylas Rasmussen of Mabel, Minn.; and a brother, Curtis Gjetley of Kensett, Iowa.

Ruth E. Dohm was preceded in death by her husband, George Dohm.
