Dean Arnold Einck

Dean Einck, 47, of Decorah, died Thursday, May 3, 2001 at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital in Decorah.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius
Catholic Church of Calmar with Rev. Donald Hawes officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery and French Funeral Home of
Calmar handled arrangements.

Dean Arnold "Bear" Einck was born Jan. 14, 1954, in Decorah, the son of Edwin and Irene (Meyer) Einck.

He attended St. Aloysius Catholic School and South Winneshiek Schools, graduating 1972.

"Bear" Einck was a Iong-time employee of Camcar, working there for 27 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping his friends and having a good time.

Survivors include his special friend Marty Aegler of Decorah; three sisters, Darlene Benedict and friend Steve Nelson of St. Paul, Minn.; Denise and Michael O'Shea of Ridgeway and Deb and Mark Palmersheim of Spillville; two brothers,Duane Einck and friend Nora Hemeseth of Ossian and Donald Einck and Gayle Alea of Decorah; 13 nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dean "Bear" Einck was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Irene Einck, his maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Dean “Bear” Einck of Decorah were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar. The Rev. Donald Hawes officiated. Interment was in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery. French Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Dean, 47, died Thursday, May 3, 2001 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital in Decorah of an apparent heart attack.
Dean Arnold Einck was born January 14, 1954 in Decorah the son of Edwin and Irene Meyer) Einck. He attended St. Aloysius Catholic School and South Winneshiek Schools, graduating in 1972. Dean was a long-time employee of Camcar, working there for twenty-seven years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include three sisters: Darlene Benedict of St. Paul, Minn. Denise O’Shea of Ridgeway, and Deb Palmersheim of Spillville; and two brothers: Duane of Ossian and Don Donald of Decorah.
