Bonnie P. Straub
Bonnie P. Straub, 87, of Bloomington, Ind., and formerly of Decorah, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Richland Bean Blossom Healthcare Center in Bloomington.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 6, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Tony Arends officiating. Interment will be at the Wilson Grove Cemetery in Sumner.
Fjelstul Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Memorial services were held Sunday, June 4, at 1 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Bloomington. Officiating was the Rev. Phil Amerson.
Allen Funeral Home handled the funeral arrangements in Bloomington.
Bonnie was born June 30, 1912, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Roy and Alma (Orvis) Pease.
She graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago.
She was a homemaker and also had been an interior designer.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bloomington, the DAR and PEO.
She married John E. Straub, on Nov. 24, 1938, and to that union, two daughters were born: Susan Straub of Bloomington and Catherine Straub of Belleville, Illinois.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan and Catherine; three grandchildren, Curtis L. Trainer of Kokomo, Ind., Stacey Waltman of Nashville, Ind., and Laura Moye of Belleville, Illinois; and three great grandchildren.
Bonnie P. Straub was preceded in death by her husband John, on June 1, 1988; two brothers and one sister.
