Jerome 'Jerry' Etteldorf

Jerome "Jerry" W. Etteldorf, 85, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at the Oneota Rlverview Care Facility.

A funeral mass was held Saturday, July 22, at 10 a.m., at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian, with the Rev. Msgr. Cletus Hawes officiating.

Diane Stee was the organist.

Interment was at the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Ossian. The French & Balik Funeral Home of Decorah handled arrangement.

Jerome was born Sept. 2, 1914, in rural Ossian, the son of Andrew and Regina (Wagner) Etteldorf. He attended school in the Ossian area and was beset by illness at the age of 21.

Survivors include one sister, Joyce (Mrs. Ed) Barloon of Cresco; one brother, Leo Etteldorf of Cresco; four nephews; and one niece.

Jerry Etteldorf was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Al Etteldorf, Dr. Hugh Etteldorf, Peter Etteldorf and Archbishop Raymond Etteldorf.
