Thomas O. Ramstad

Thomas O. Ramstad, 73, of Coralville, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at Mercy Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, at 1:30 p.m., at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah, with the Rev. Ginny Olson officiating. Burial will be at the Madison Lutheran Cemetery, rural Decorah.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29, from 4-6 p.m., at the Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., in Iowa City, and from noon until service time at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah.

Thomas Ramstad was born Feb. ??, 1927, in Decorah, the son of Albert and Tina (Olson) Ramstad. He graduated from Decorah High School. He worked in various movie theatres throughout Iowa and Nebraska.

In the mid-1960's, he moved to Iowa City where he was employed by Century States Theatre, most recently at Cinema I and II in Sycamore mall. He had previously served in the Englert Theatre for many years. Tom retired in April of this year.

Survivors include his sister and her husband, Oline and Vern Kee of Omaha, Neb.; one niece and one nephew.

Thomas Ramstad was preceded in death by his parents.
