Marie E. Ehler
Marie E. Ehler, 91, a resident of Harmony (Minn.) Nursing Home since 1994 and formerly of Lanesboro, Minn., died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lanesboro, with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating.
Burial was held at 2 p.m. at the St. Francis de Sales Church Cemetery in Ossian.
Marie (Miller) Ehler was born Dec. 17, 1908, near Ossian. She married Alfred Ehler in Dubuque. He was a farmer. Marie was a homemaker. The couple lived in the rural Postville area until 1949, when they moved to Lanesboro.
Survivors include one son, Donald of Chanhassen, Minn.; five daughters, Beatrice Johnson of Evansdale, Dorothy Hageman of Elk Run Heights, Mrs. Lawrence (Norma Jean) Roloff of Dubuque, and Mrs. Merle (Joan) Halverson and Mrs. Calvin (Bernice) Johnson, both of New Hampton; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Ehler of Spring Grove, Minn.
Marie Ehler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred, who died Sept. 19, 1983; two sons, Linus and Cletus Ehler; two grandsons; four brothers, Frank (in infancy), Raymond, Fred and Joseph; and seven sisters, Catherine Einck, Caroline Ehler, Bertha Miller, Emma Miller, Florence Schmitz, Ida Miller and Mary Miller (in infancy).
