Vivian Quenrud
Vivian Quenrud*, 75, died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at her Coralville apartment.
Memorial services are pending at the Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. Burial of cremains will be at the Big Canoe Lutheran Church in rural Decorah immediately following the service.
Vivian Louise was born Jan. 25 1924, in Allamakee County, the daughter of Agnes Finholt and Henry M. Quanrude*. She was educated in rural Iowa River School and graduated from Waukon High School in 1943.
Vivian was employed as a bookkeeper for various companies in Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Dyersville and McGregor. She lived in Iowa City the past 22 years, and had been living in Coral Village Apartments Retirement Home.
She was an avid reader. Her other hobbies were knitting and needlework.
Survivors include two sisters, Palma M. Quandahl of West Des Moines, and Hazel and Lloyd Kolsrud of Muscatine; one sister-in-law, Ursula Quanrude* of Waukon; and many nieces and nephews.
Vivian Quanrude* was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold Quanrude*.
*These names are spelled this way in the obituary. It is not a typing error of mine.
