Henry J. Jennisch

Henry J. Jennisch, 84, of Clive, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Hospice Kavanagh House-Grand, of cancer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m., at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Des Moines.

Burial will be at a later date at the St. Benedict Catholic Church Cemetery in Decorah, Iowa. The Brooks Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Henry was born in and lived in Decorah until 1994. He had been the owner of the Jennisch Garage. He served in the United States Navy.

Henry was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Des Moines, St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah and the V.F.W. Post No. 1977 in Decorah.

Survivors include one son, Chuck Jennisch of Clive; two daughters, Kathy Miller of Roselle, Ill., and Marianne Jennisch of Clive; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Helen Tlougan of Decorah.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Rose Jennisch.
