Erwin Hovey 1936-1999

Erwin Hovey, 62, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at the Cresco Care Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m., at the Orleans Lutheran Church, rural Ridgeway, with the Rev. Phillip Olson officiating.
Burial was at the church cemetery. The Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco handled arrangements.

Erwin was born Dec. 7, 1936, in Cresco, the son of Rudolph and Gladys (Benson) Hovey. He attended the Hovey Schoolhouse and Cresco schools.
He enjoyed farming, horses and playing cards.

Survivors include two brothers, Norbert Hovey of Ridgeway and Raymond Hovey of Cresco; and two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Foster of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Norma Jean Peters of New Hampton.

Erwin Hovey was preceded in death by his parents.
