Jonah Dean Hageman, infant son of John and Deana (Spilde) Hageman of Harmony, Minn., died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at the Winneshiek County
Memorial Hospital in Decorah after complications at birth.

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m., at the French & Balik Funeral Home in Deborah, with the Rev. Hans Floan of Burr Oak Lutheran Church officiating.

Alan Sensor was the organist. Songs that were sung included "Jesus Loves Me" and "On Eagle's Wings."

Interment was at the Burr Oak Cemetery. The French & Balik Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Survivors include his parents, John and Deanna Hageman of Harmony, Minn.; one sister, Megan Hageman; maternal great-grandmother, Florence
Spilde of Decorah; paternal great-grandmother Viola Palmer of Decorah; paternal grandparents Roman and Sharon Hageman of Frankville; three aunts and uncles, Janice and Charlie Berg of Castalia, Julie and Loren Looney of Postville, and Dan and Wendy Spilde of Decorah; and six cousins, Jason and Kyle Berg, Nathan Suckow, Carley Looney, and Hailey and Hunter Spilde.

Jonah Hageman was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francis "Fritz" and Carol Spilde; paternal great-grandparents Dean and Marilyn Leonhart; maternal great grandfather Leonard Spilde; paternal great-grandparents John and Elizabeth Hageman; and paternal great grandfather Clair Palmer.
