Ruth Evert, daughter of Michael James and Amelia Balluff Evert, was born near Strawberry Point, September 22, 1890 and died Monday, September 8, 1958 at 10:15 p.m.

She received her education in the schools of her community. On November 15, 1915, she was united in marriage with Glenn Letchford. The new home was established in the vicinity of Frankville. In December 1923, they moved to the town of Frankville where she resided the remaining years of her life. November 2, 1924, she united with the Community Presbyterian Church.

To this union three children were born: Vivian, Mrs. Lester VanWey and Charles, of Frankville, and Virgean, Mrs. H. L. Sanderson, of El Paso, Texas.

Left to mourn her loss are her husband, three children and six grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters: Mrs. Ruby McFarland; Fern (Mrs. Arthur Topel); Blanche, (Mrs. Ira Shippey); and Wilma, (Mrs. Pete McIntosh). Her parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
