Funeral services for Martha Henrietta Ludeking, Decorah, were held March 8 at 2 p.m. at the Salem United Church of Christ where she was a member.
Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiated and burial followed in the Salem cemetery.
Mrs. Ludeking died March 5 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn., following a stroke. She was 71.
Martha was born July 2, 1910, in Postville, to William and Mary Adam. She attended rural school and married Clarence Ludeking Nov. 8, 1928 in Ludlow Township. The couple farmed in Frankville Township 32 years before moving to Decorah in 1960.
Martha served in all activities for her church and belonged to the Women's Fellowship and the Evening Circle.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Ludeking; three sons and a daughter, Arnold Ludeking of Ridgeway, Dervin and Ronald Ludeking, both of Decorah, and Joan Reinhart of Pocahontas, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, Elmer Adam of Postville.
