Funeral services for Jacob G. Lee, 79, a former resident of the Ossian area, were held Monday, July 5, at the First Lutheran church in Cresco with Dwight McElree, intern pastor, officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery at Cresco.

Mr. Lee died Friday, July 2, in the Cresco hospital. He was born April 13, 1892, in Glenwood township, Winneshiek county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Knudt Lee. He was married to Anna Hegvedt, Feb. 23, 1927. They farmed in the Ossian area until 1965 when they retired and moved to Cresco.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, and four brothers. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Gloria) Aspenson and Mrs. Dean (LaRue) Hagen both of Cresco; one son, Keith of Monona; one sister, Carrie Lee of Decorah; one brother, Knudt Lee of Decorah; 14 grandchildren.

Music at the services was provided by Dianne Aspenson, soloist. Joel Smeby was the organist.

Pallbearers were Knudt, Robert, James, Norman, and Richard Lee, and Ronald Tyler.
