Funeral services were held Saturday, December 31, 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis de Sales Church, Ossian, for James M. Floody, 61, of Castalia, who passed away at the Decorah hospital on December 28, 1960. Mr. Floody had undergone surgery from which he did not recover. Burial was in the St. Francis de Sales Church Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Weis conducted the funeral services.

James Floody was born February 20, 1899, son of Henry and Bridget (Byrne) Floody. He received his elementary education at Castalia. He was a life long resident of Castalia, Winneshiek County, and worked as a section man, carpenter, and electrician.

Survivors include two brothers, Edward Floody and Leo Floody; and a sister Mary Floody, all of Castalia.
