Kneeskern Rites

Mrs. Jennie Kneeskern, a Frankville resident for many years, passed away suddenly at her home in Frankville on Saturday, October 31.

She was born on a farm near Atkins, March 13, 1878, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Roths. She was educated in the schools near her home and was one of a family of 11 children.

She was married to William L. Kneeskern, November 28, 1906 and came to Frankville in September, 1908, which has since been her home except for a few years spent in Rossville and New Albin.

The wedding was performed at the Roths' home near Atkins, with the former Rev. Gregg of Frankville officiating.

Five children were born to this union: Donald, at home, Leo of Frankville, Hazel (Mrs. Ambrose Waters), Catherine (Mrs. Donald Wisehart) of Center Point and James of Detroit, Michigan.

In her early life, Mrs. Kneeskern was a member of the W. C. T. U., and also the Frankville Study Club. She was a member of the Community Church and the Willing Workers Society.

She attended church services last Sunday, October 25 and was planning on attending Confirmation Services Sunday, November 1, in which her granddaughter, Patricia Kneeskern, was a member of the class.

She leaves ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren, many relatives and a host of friends. She was the last member of her family of five brothers and six sisters.

Final rites were held Tuesday afternoon at the Community church with the Rev. Robert Reynolds officiating.
