Rites Held For Frankville Man

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church at Frankville last Friday at 2:00 p.m. for William L. Kneeskern, 77, lifelong resident of that community who passed away September 15 following a short illness. Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville, officiated. Burial was in the Frankville cemetery.

William L. Kneeskern, 77 years old, a lifelong resident of the Frankville community, passed away Wednesday afternoon September 15, 1954 at his home following a six days illness.

He was born in Bloomfield township as the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James G. Kneeskern, March 4, 1877.

His education was acquired in the grade school at Frankville after which he engaged in farming with the exception of the last 25 years during which time he made his home in Frankville. he was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

He was married to Jennie Roths from Atkins, Iowa, near Cedar Rapids, on November 27, 1906.

Surviving are five children, Donald and Leo of Frankville, Hazel (Mrs. Ambrose Waters) of the Postville vicinity, Kathryn (Mrs. Donald Wisehart) of Center Point, Iowa, and James M. of the United States Army stationed in Germany, and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Roy of Frankville and James of Waukon.
