Lisa Paulsen, age 44, of Frankville, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin from renal failure.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the French and Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, Iowa with Rev. Ed Petty officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah, Iowa. There will be no visitation.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Wilson, Frankville, Iowa, her parents, Erik Paulsen of Norway and Marilyn Paulsen of San Francisco, CA, a brother, Erik Paulsen and wife Lori, of Colorado Springs, CO.

Lisa Paulsen 1955-2000
Lisa Paulsen, 44, of Frankville, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., of complications related to lupus.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m., at the French & Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, with the Rev. Ed Petty officiating.Alan Sensor was the organist. Soloist Sue English sang "Spring," "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden."
Interment was at the Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah.
Following the service, the family welcomed friends to the Paulsen home.
Lisa was born Aug. 26, 1955, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of
Erik and Marilyn (Stabo) Paulsen. At the age of 6, she moved with her family to
Norway and attended Eikeli Gymnasium until she was 18. She then moved to Decorah and attended Luther College, graduating in 1977. Lisa made her home in the Decorah area, where three generations were raised before her.She married Henry Wilson in August of 1978.
She worked at Helping Services and the Drop In Center in Decorah. She was an audiometrist with Keystone Area-Education Agency and a social worker for Hospice of Northeast Iowa and the Good Samaritan Home in Postville.
Lisa enjoyed horses, cats and dogs, as well as gardening and being outside. She was a member of a saddle club and horse groups.Lisa will be remembered as a caring person and when she spoke, her words had an effect on people. She had recently volunteered to drive cancer patients to their appointments.
Lisa had been ill with lupus since 1972 and had been on a kidney transplant list for four years.
Survived include her husband, Henry Wilson of Frankville; parents Erik Paulsen of Oslo, Norway, and Marilyn Paulsen of San Francisco, Calif.; brother Erik and Lori Paulsen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one niece, Karolina Paulsen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; an aunt and uncle, Vesla and Odd Hostmark-Love of Norway; cousins Philip and Monica Hostmark-Love of Norway and Monica's children, Lene and Nina of Norway.
