Funeral services for Albert Perry, 80, were held Monday, July 16, 1984 at 1:30 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. Verdon Swenson officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Castalia.

Albert Roy Perry, son of Marshall and Alma (Moore) Perry, was born April 6, 1904 at Castalia. He died Saturday, July 14, 1984 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

He attended the Castalia School. April 8, 1925, he married Edna Manderfield. To this union six children were born. He worked as a farm hand and in 1931 they moved to Minnesota. In 1943 they returned to the Castalia area. He was employed at Iowa Turkey Products from 1962 until November, 1982.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna, who died Jan. 16, 1972; a son and a daughter in infancy, two grandchildren; and a brother, Chester.

Surviving are two sons, Eugene, West Union and Lavern, Castalia; two daughters, Ramona (Mrs. Henry Limkemann) Denver and Marian (Mrs. David Limkemann, Waverly; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Carlton of Cumberland, WI; and two sisters, Ivera (Mrs. Alfred Leyh), Sumner and Izetta Walker, Cedar Rapids.
