Edna Ellen Perry
Services were held Wednesday, January 19 at 1:30 p.m. from the Schutte Funeral Home, Postville for Mrs. Albert Perry, who died January 16 at her home in Castalia. The Rev. Curtis Webster officiated.
Edna Ellen Manderfield was born on a farm in Bloomfield Township, Winneshiek county, Iowa, August 19, 1906, the daughter of Alex and Ella Anderson Manderfield.
She received her education in the Blumhagen school and attended high school in Castalia. She was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church in Castalia.
On April 8, 1925 she was united in marriage to Albert Perry. Three sons and three daughters were born to this union.
Mrs. Perry spent most of her life in the Castalia area except for 15 years when they lived in Minnesota.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene of West Union and Lavern of Castalia; two daughters, Ramona (Mrs. Henry Limkemann) of Cedar Falls and Marian (Mrs. David Limkemann) of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Manderfield of Allison, Iowa; two sisters, Elvie Moore and Jessie (Mrs. Wilfred Melcher) both of Waterloo.
Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, her parents, a sister and a granddaughter.
Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Castalia.
