Chester Lawrence Perry

Chester Lawrence Perry, son of Marshall and Alma Moore Perry, was born January 27, 1906 on a farm near Castalia.

He passed away March 12, 1965 at his home in Bloomfield township from a lingering illness at the age of 59 years, one month and 13 days.

Chester Perry lived in the Castalia and Postville vicinity all his life, being engaged in farming. He received his education in Castalia and rural schools.

He was married to Bessie McIntosh of Decorah on June 20, 1929. To this union three children were born: Marvin of Manchester, Mrs. Raymond (Lois) Boleyn of Elgin and Kenneth, on the home farm.

Chester Perry is survived by his wife; three children; his mother; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Albert of Castalia and Carlton of Cumberland, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Gottlieb Limkemann of Castalia and Mrs. Otho Walker of Dubuque; nieces and nephews.

He was baptized and became a member of the Community Presbyterian Church on September 6, 1962.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 15, 1965 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites.

Interment was in the Pleasant View cemetery, Castalia.
