Services Held For Former Resident

Word has been received by relatives in Postville and Castalia of the death of Edgar Russett on February 14 in Los Angeles, California following brain Surgery.

Edgar Russett was born in Ossian, July 11, 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Russett.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. February 17 at the Forest Lawn Hill mortuary, Los Angeles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Esther Lange of Ossian, his parents, and one sister, Jennie. He is survived by four brothers and two sisters. They are: Clarence of Waukon, Oscar of Luana, Daniel of Calmar, Olaf of Ulysses, Kansas, Grace of Postville and Mrs. Lloyd Blumhagen (Agnes) of Castalia.

He was a veteran of World War I. He had been a resident of California for the past 25 years.
