Services Held For Mrs. Chas. Winn

Lillian Winn, daughter of John and Phoebe Fox, was born in Highland township, Clayton county, June 28, 1885, and passed away at her home in Fort Atkinson, January 6, 1966.

She grew to womanhood in the Clayton county area and was educated in the schools of that county. On January 27, 1909, she was united in marriage to Charles Ross Winn at McGregor. Mr. Winn was a railroad employee and they moved to Castalia in that capacity. He was depot agent there until his retirement. To this union was born three children: Dorothy, Mrs. Keith Gregg, of Storm Lake; John of Fort Atkinson, and a son who died in infancy.

She also leaves one sister Anna Dowd of Ottumwa; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Winn lived most of her life in this community. She was preceded in death by her husband, December 16, 1951. Mrs. Winn's interests were in her home and family, she was a member of the Castalia E. U. B. Church and active in community activities.

Services were from the Schutte Funeral Home at Postville, Saturday, January 8, at 1:30, with Rev. Curtis H. Webster officiating. Burial was in the Pleasantview Cemetery at Castalia.
