Vivian was a lifelong member of the Frankville Presbyterian Church where she was active in the ladies organization, a couples club and Willing Workers. She enjoyed gardening and canning and was an excellent cook and baker, known particularly for her pies and divinity candy. She also liked to do crafts and get together with friends to play 500. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Letchford. Survivors include her husband Lester of Waukon; a son Charles (Shari) Van Wey of Albert Lea, MN; a daughter Joan (David) Schwinefus of Postville; 5 grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) & Brian Van Wey, Debbie (Scott) Warth, Tharin Schwinefus and Tammy (Eric) Walsh; 3 great-grandchildren, Lars and Lexie Warth and Landon Walsh, and a sister, Virgean Sanderson of El Paso, TX; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
